Why your gift matters
Jordan McFaull showed up. For his teammates, his community, and his classmates... He showed up with curiosity, kindness, and a genuine commitment to the people around him. The scholarship, his friends, and family built, in his memory, has been doing the same thing for over a decade.
Since 2016, eleven Beechwood seniors have received the Jordan G. McFaull Memorial Scholarship… students who went on to study engineering, medicine, education, law, and more at universities across the country. Each one was chosen because they reflected something of Jordan: a record of leadership, a commitment to service, and the kind of character that makes a community better.
That doesn't happen without you.
The scholarship is sustained entirely by the generosity of people who knew Jordan, who believe in what he stood for, and/or who simply want to invest in the next generation of people like him. Your gift, whatever the size, goes directly toward funding the annual award and ensuring a deserving Beechwood senior gets the recognition and support they've earned.

Annual Giving:
Jordan showed up for his community every year. If you're able, consider making your gift a recurring one. A standing annual donation — even a modest amount — gives the fund stability and helps ensure the scholarship continues for years to come.
Employer Matching:
Many employers match donations to 501(c)3 organizations… which means your gift could go twice as far at no additional cost to you. Check with your HR department or benefits portal to find out if your company participates.
Gifts of appreciated stock:
If you hold stocks or securities that have grown in value, a gift of appreciated stock may allow you to support the scholarship while avoiding capital gains tax on the appreciation. It's a giving strategy worth exploring if you're looking to make a more significant contribution.

Qualified charitable distributions from an IRA:
If you're 70½ or older, you may be able to make a qualified charitable distribution directly from your IRA to the Jordan G. McFaull Scholarship Fund. A QCD counts toward your required minimum distribution and is excluded from your taxable income, which makes it one of the most tax-efficient ways to give.
